(Wonderful Friend)ICRC31 - Second Round Inspiration

Hey All!!!

Just blogging the first card I made after the long gap, as an ICR inspiration & for a friend of mine....

Do join in at ICRC31 where the challenge is to brad some butterflies onto a CARD.... Isn't it enticing!

So here is what I made & hope u like it....





Few dares around did inspire me into it...

Case Study Challenge #154 for their inspiration with stamping & horizontal patterns....





White CS from Fabriano for the base....
Ruby Red CS from Itsy Bitsy for the layered panel....
Stamped the damask design on the white CS with inks from SU!, Pamass & Pretty Color....
The die cut butterfly was a win from Jaya, long back....
Brads were a RAK from Elizabeth....
Sentiment from PaperTrey Ink- Round & Round collection.....

RAKHI CARD in a Jiffy!!!

Hello Everyone!

Finally blogging after a break for a longer period of 4-5 months.... :(

Could not help much as I was down with ill health & frustrated with self.... So when there is no "want" in mind it is hard to bring anything into action.... All I did was travel to & fro, visit freaking doctors who are clueless & without solutions to my problems & ate food cooked by mom..... That was my Modus Operandi, all these days.... 

Traveled back to Ranchi, thot was doing good a lil hence would finally do what I loved.... Paper Craft! but in vain..... Sick again..... :( Yet managed to work on few cards which were crucial for the moment....

So today blogging the card I made for Rakhi this year... Usually my Rakhi cards have been ethnic, but this season no clue if it was the impact of my health or what, I felt it was far from being ethnic..... Kinda contemporary!

Be it whatever I was happy I could create one in a jiffy... So here it is!



I stand inspired by few challenges for this card.....

The Sketch from Sketchbook Saturday Challenge.....

The Colors from ColorQ.....





Basic Grey CS from Fabriano for the base.....
Ruby Red CS for the layer....
Yellow CS from Fabriano for a die cut strip below over the layer.....
Saffron CS from Fabriano for a die cut strip above over the layered panel......
Used Sizzix embossing folder for the border trim design....
Flowers are RAK....
Floral stamens were picked from itsy bitsy.....
Piece of burlap string from stash....
Ruby red brad was a RAK from Elizabeths Craft Room.....
Sentiment is printed out...
The Die is from Memory Box Dies - Tessatina Border.....



The inside of the card, with the rakhi tied in & ready to be sent across..... :)




Okay! That's pretty much about the Rakhi card for this season.... 

Hope to catch up sooner with few more of my creations from now....

ICRC28 {SPEECH BUBBLE + PUN/WITTY SENTIMENT}

Hello Everyone!!!

'Ha'ppy April to you all.... Keep Laughing  :-D 

Month of celebrations for me personally is over... But nevertheless we can forever celebrate life as it comes..... Just go with the flow & find that something which brings a smile on your face & keeps you happy through the day.... Happy Smiles to All.... :)

With the new month, rolls out a new challenge on ICR, which was definitely MY CUP OF TEA! Me not keeping fine could not dampen my spirit to cook up something for this "SPEECH ACT"... And I am definite that many of you would take up this gauntlet too...... :P

"S Ketch" Up with the Story Board for ICRC28....

And below is my "pun"spiration for the same..... Hope you like it!



Well I have been inspired by the new Studio Calico Sketch which suited it best with a scope to interpret it the way I wanted to.....

And for color palette at Play Date Cafe left me with a yearn to work on them..... Everything put together was fresh & very much me..... :)



It took me a lil time to figure out what I wanted to work on exactly.... With me keeping unwell, cud not stress much either with lots to do.... hence the sketch easily enticed me....

But then I even wanted my efforts to suffice my requirements now.... 'cuz my Bhabi had announced her good news & I had not reciprocated in kind :P 
What best way I could being a paper crafter.....  than for a handmade card!

After much pondering I zeroed in on the thought process channelized towards the BUN IN THE OVEN.... :P

But I was not satisfied yet..... 'cuz there was nothing that dared me yet.... I finally thought of having "pun" further...... Ans after much pondering I was happy & satisfied with what I wove till then...... I could see an impressed me all turning to be a proud pea hen...... ;)



The card base is from SU!
The DPs were a RAK from B & so is the washi tape....
Brads were a RAK from Elizabeth & eyelet from Gopi.....
The digi image is from The Stamping Boutique, I received as their Event Team member.... I love her sexy self..... :) 
God! When wud I pout & still b sexy..... :(Colored her with bic markers..... & threw a dash of stones to let her sparkle.....
Just trimmed the SU! label to achieve a speech bubble......
The Sentiment CONGRATS is from Close To My Heart....
And the PUNtiment was compiled on photoshop & printed out.....

I guess that's pretty much about the project...... You've got to PUN to have FUN!

Phew! Way too unique an obsession..... Shakespeare my Guru..... in"Hail" the GURU.... :P
