Hey!!!! I am back with another card I made for few cool challenges..... This time it was not quick as my prior card..... but Yes! I made this in two hours..... And I quite liked what I made...... As it was a baby card..... :-)
As I do not have the required paraphernalia, I lack behind at getting my elements ready..... It takes time for everything..... as they have to be made..... BY HAND.......
I am bad at stamping..... I just cannot do it...... But still I would try till I am comfortable..... I don't understand why, as far as coloring is concerned.... I am a failure!!!!! I just cannot do it right...... & I feel sad too..about this...... :-(
This time I tried something ..... new...according to me..... I felt kinda okay about it.... but I know experts around would feel Eww! about it..... What I tried was the 'DISTRESSED' thingy..... I do not know exactly what the technique is...... but literally to do justice to the WORD... I feel I have distressed the flowered layer panel...... completely...... the edges of it.... I distressed it with my ink pad.... I just rubbed it on vigorously over that cute flower I made..... I felt bad later, but thought would leave it at that...... ;-)
So this is what I made......
And I thank........

Creative Cottage Challenge for their use of PINK!!!!
Stamp Challenges for their usage of PINK!!!!!
Crazy 4 Challenges for using Kraft as base.......
And this is how I made it......
I used Kraft CS ( my favorite color) for the base & the flower cut panel.......
I designed the flower on the CS & later dry embossed (may be that is the term, but for me, I literally rubbed the end of my pen cap on the CS placed on the plate I had) smaller petals on it.... after which I hand cut the flower......
I used a printed paper on the base on which I layered a light green CS punched with my border punch & the opposite side of the printed paper which is plain pink!!!!
As I mentioned above, I distressed the edges of the petals..with all possible colors... I could lay my hands on..... I only have a few... so...... ;-0
I did not have a light pink string.... So I kinda managed to distress the plain white string, I had..... by coloring it pink... again by rubbing the ink pad on it kinda vigorously...... ;-)
I had a piece of left over CS in light pink.... which I stamped with hobby ideas BABY stamp thrice.... out of which later I colored only one with my pink sketch pen...... I told u I am bad with colors ;-p.. U can see that clearly na! SO that colored words are my sentiments...... ( ;-) I did not have to write this time)... I kinda escaped....... :0
I stitched a small frock for my little girl.... ( don know where she is!!!) May God bless her wherever she is....... :-) with cotton fabric & a piece of white lace..... (all kinda messy again) on to which I adhered the small bow.......
I later cut a thermocol ball into halves & adhered them on each sides of that pink panel......
That is it for now.....
UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!!!
Nice one Asha, perfect colour too for the baby card.

Nice! Don't worry about the stamping and coloring bits... they get better with practice. As far as tools are concerned... well, we all have been in the same boat. A couple of years back, no form of patterned paper was available here... we've even used gift wraps LOL! At least now some paper and stamps are available here at Hobby ideas.
ReplyDeleteKeep the faith and keep crafting.
Hugs,
Smita
