AsRa - A NAME PLATE For Self Of Self By Self!

Hello,

After long got into crafting & this time wished to work on something I never tried before.... After much thinking, a hard board that I picked from home & brought along struck my mind & I knew what I wanted to work on......

A NAME PLATE for self of self by self..... With loads of mix media around doing the run, I wanted to give it a try too... I have had tried lil tit bits in the past.... A Gift Tag & a Canvas for swap.... But they were the minimal I tried.... This time a lil bigger yet in a simple subtle tone.....

The thought of working on a Name Plate did scare me 'cuz it wasn't a Card which is my comfort zone nor a petty lil album or the sorts.... It was a Name Plate.... The very term is so big & for an amateur to take a dig is definitely challenging....

It wasn't my normal happy sad days either..... I was sulking & realized I cud not let it pass by just being in it & allowing self to sink; I had to channelize my mind into something else which can help me overcome & make the days shorter for me....

So yes I had to let myself at the least attempt one; I cud fail not meeting my own expectations, but I wud be happy I did something to begin with.....

Here is a video with pictures in motion as a slideshow with few details in corresponding to the same.... Hope the details suffice!

Hope it inspires you to try something big walking in your own small path....

UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!

Love Holds A Rainbow!

Hello!

For July ICR has taken a pause with its monthly CoasteRide Challenge...
But nevertheless, it still has its creative inkling for this month by means of Tutorials... (Tut)
There had been a Tutorial posted by Priyanka Mathur at the beginning of the month & here is the second part to the something we have called as
CoasteRide Jul-torials!
 My tutorial for today is A Rainbow Colored Card!
http://indianstampers.ning.com/group/icrchallenges/forum/topics/coasteride-jul-torials-rainbow-colored-card

  Am not very good with colors... As in, My mind & fingers do not sync in well to play with colors.... which makes me fear of me messing up the already existing idea on the canvas... Saying so I still tried a Rainbow Card for my tutorial today...

The card was inspired by the Sketch from Freshly Made Sketches....

Preparation:
The card here on the show is based 4" X 6" ... That's the standard size I like to play with regularly....
  • Cut Your Card Base the size you are comfortable with & keep it aside...

  • Stamp an image (outlined image only so to add in colors later)of your choice on a piece of Cardstock which would be die cut with the complimenting die, with embossing ink & heat emboss it with white embossing powder... I used the Altenew Persian Motifs!
  • On another cardstock piece which would be used for layering, of a color of your choice; I chose black though the water colors do not show really well on black... I stamped the petals stamp & heat embossed them with white embossing powder...
  • Now playing with the watercolors of your choice fill in the embossed outline image with rainbow colors toned up or down to meet your requirement for the outcome...
  • With the complimenting die, die cut the image out after the colors have dried...
  • The layering cardstock with the embossed images would be water colored with your tone of rainbow colors....
  • Once you are ready with the basic ingredients for your card, its time to put them together to shape up your project... {I preferred to layer it from within which wanted me to cut out a coordinating open on my card base & I then layered the cardstock on the inside of the card facing the card front}
  • Once you close the card base the embossed layer shows up through the die cut space...
  • You may go ahead & embellish the card as you may choose to... {I wanted a lil more of the rainbow colors on my card; hence opted to dab them out on my card front for which I used the positive of a stitched rectangle set from Cottage Cutz... I placed it on the layered front open face down.}

  • I then went on a color dabbing spree with a not so thick paint brush as I wanted tiny dots of rainbow colors only
  • Once done I removed the masked layer & added another layer for a frame, die cut with the Stitched rectangle Die....
  • I printed out my own sentiment & pinned it up to the die cut motif & glued them down on the card base with few pop dots from Itsy Bitsy...
Now there goes my Rainbow Colored Card for the CoateRide Jul-Torial!
Hope to have you play with us....

UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!

LOVE - Is All We Want!

Hello,

ICR saw its second CoasteRide with the month of February;
And its a Valentine Project that is called for & of course with a simple twist of giving the project a dimension.... And We all love doing that especially in the month of Feb on the occasion of Valentine's Day!

So I made one too.... A simple valentine card for hubby who is away from me as of now...
And replicated another to gift it to my KJ's Wife!

So here is what I made....

 photo Love_zps7zbtq2kl.jpg

And it has been inspired by

Case This Sketch - #208 - for the sketch

Color My Heart Color Dare - for the colors

 photo ThePrepNew_zps5a3ccce1.jpg

CS for the base is Fabriano in grey.....
On that layered a piece of Fabriano n pink with a DP from stash layered above....
Ran it thru the CuttleBug with Itsy bitsy Heart die cut to cut out a portion of the layer a lil heartless...
And then placed another fully fledged cut heart to add in as a dimension popped up with a pop dot & foam tape....
On the heart shape I stamped with a Stampin' Up! design in darker shade of yellow... Partially stamped to give it a subtle feel to it....
For the sentiment I stamped "All You Need Is Love" from Keiser Craft Lover Collection....
Dashed in some small rhinestones all arnd to finish the project....

 photo LovePart_zpskp52xzig.jpg

Looking at what I made, my domestic help requested, something be made for her too to be given to her man... I obliged & made a quickie with the die cut heart that was arnd & finished it with a dash of rhinestones arnd..... She left home all happy..... I smiled with this feel of content for I mad made my Valentine's day a happy one by spreading a smile.....

Of course I then went saloning...... shopping...... SINGING...... & back home!

Do chime in with your projects too before it ends by midnight of Feb 28th;

UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!

Happy ButterFry Day!

Hello,

After long made this masculine card for my dad & bro who celebrate their birthday today!

Am happy the way it turned out to be... Simple yet sprinkled with the ME on it... :D

Hope they like it & U too..... :)

 photo HBFryD_zpsbgahs0my.jpg

Inspired by the Sketch from....
Atlantic Hearts Challenge

Theme from...
Happy Little Stampers

 photo ThePrepNew_zps5a3ccce1.jpg

The CS for base is from Fabriano in chocolate brown....
CS for layer is from Fabriano in mud brown
Glassy DP for the layer is from stash in wood print
The circled layer is die cut with Cottage Cutz Stitched Circle Set
I printed the Senti Pun on it.... BUTTER FRY!
Fussy cut a hand drawn pan handle & popped it up beneath the circle die cut to create the
look of a fry pan & doodled the stitch marks with black steadler pen
Die cut the butterfly using Tim Holtz Thinlits; Further colored it & halved only to give the senti pun a dimension & of course adding an overall dimension to the project...
Added a thin cut DP in purple for the strip layer;
Used the WeRMemories Die & Stamp for the sentiment HAPPY....
And over the Itsy Bitsy Tag die cut doodled the word Day to complete the BIRTHDAY CARD with a new perception;

TIME FLIES.... Planner/Calendar!

Hello...

Wishing everyone A Very Happy New Year..... :)

Well... On ICR was the time for a new coasteride... ICRCJan17 - Customize A Calendar!

An interesting one & U must check it out to give it a try.... Below is the story board for u....

http://indianstampers.ning.com/group/icrchallenges/forum/topics/icrcjan17-customized-calendar

And with me living by myself & taking care of my day to day stuffs myself which was forever taken care of by my husband, I am in need of an organizer to keep a track of things I need to do; It was easier when he took care of every damn thing & now to be done by me is exciting as well as a challenge for someone who never did anything..... All Thanks to him; Of course I wudnt have been able to get to this without his support.... So am loving & living this part <3 p="">
With the start of a New Year I had to put together a planner/calendar to keep my life in track so I did not miss on things which shud mean additional headache for my husband.... :P

With this ICR CoasteRide, I had to give it a go... And this is what i cud cook up in a jiffy!

 photo Full_zpsihvn4qgm.jpg

 photo ThePrepNew_zps5a3ccce1.jpg

My Brother helped me by designing the calendar for me which is but obvious the main for this project....

 photo 3_zpsfc1t3ekm.jpg

He then added in all those frames that I wanted on my planner..... Which has.....
On the Front.....
  • To Buy/Order
  • Awaiting On
  • Notes
  • Unfinished Tasks
 photo 4_zpsxwq1ki6g.jpg

 At The Back.....

  • Priorities
  • Personal Tasks
  • Outdoor Tasks
  • Projects/Ideas
 <3 p="">And I just worked up on the rest putting them all into their place.....

<3 p="">Few things just dont end up the way they start & this planner was one among them..... I initially started with a folder kind of thing for my pages but unfortunately it did not work out well.... I had to leave that thing just there & start afresh with something simpler; When you begin with no experience you definitely not sure where you would end up in the go....

<3 p="">I then thought I wud just make folders for every monthly page with pockets which could help me tuck in stuffs as my bills & acknowledgements.....

<3 p="">After which I made the covers to hold my entire set up & ringed them with the binder rings I had since ages.... Was happy to have been bringing them into use finally :D

<3 p="">I then neatly put in all the folders & pages to accommodate all the months & realized I fell short of one folder for a month.... I had no more patience left to make another one hence tucked it into an already existing month.... :P

<3 p="">  photo 1_zpsrk3jfppm.jpg

<3 p="">  photo 5_zpstta4hmea.jpg

<3 p="">{At d least I know where I went wrong with few things in the process}
<3 p="">If I did not try I wud never know until I die!

 photo close_zpswpd8dqi0.jpg
<3 p="">
For the locking system I used a strong button used on the denims & made use of the thin elastic twine I had in stash.... And VOILA! I was done...... :D

<3 p="">
<3 p="">It was time to put away all my other stuffs I used to jot down the routine & start using it....
<3 p="">
<3 p="">However, Just to share..... I had placed an order on etsy for a planner/calendar for a cost of Rs.4000/- even before I tried this..... What a waste! Anyways... Nothing new... Am popularly known to be one too.... :(
<3 p="">
<3 p=""><3 p="">So that's about my project for the January CoasteRide on ICR..... You may have your too... Bring them on & link it to the inlinkz right below the discussion of this ride at the ICR Forum.... Have Fun!

UNTIL NEXT, KEEP THE FAITH!!!
