BACKLOGS - CELEBRATIONS (Extended)!!!

Was out of Bangalore when we posted the new challenge at ICR... :( Amidst bad internet connections, somehow managed to let the challenge go live on time.... but could not post regarding the same on my blog....

Hence today's post is all about the challenge & my inspirations for it..... And with the ICRC9 being extended for another fortnight, I feel comfortable posting my much delayed post.... :D

On ICR, ICRC9 went live on the 16th of August.... And the month of August welcomes several celebrations...... And that paved the way for the challenge ICRC9!

ICRC9 is CELEBRATIONS + No Digi/Rubber Stamping Except for Sentiment!!!

And below are my inspirations for the same.... Yes! ARE...... With little time on hand, I had to cook up some creation that portrayed the theme.... Hence made one at ease..... I loved the colors so so much that I had to attempt one, but after sometime I kinda started disliking it... Couldn't figure out why! :O

ICRC9

Challenges it goes to :

Moxie Fab World for Tuesday Trigger.....
Crazy 4 Challenges for Bingo! [2nd column - Embossing, Die Cuts & Ribbon]
Papertakeweekly for Die Cuts.....
All Sorts Challenge for Being Framed.....
ICR for ICRC9....

Prep:

Cream CS for the base & layers, from Fabriano.... And embossed the layer with vintage wallpaper from SU!
Distressed the embossed BG with chalk ink & wallnut stain distress ink.....
Black CS for layer & frame.....
Used the Letterpress Technique with impressabilities on the black CS.....
Later cut the CS with nestability scalloped circle dies... {used 2nd & 4th size together for the frame}
Used the fancy die cut to embellish the scalloped circle frame, and secured it with brads on either side....
Ribbon in black with golden lines form the stash....
Used a chipboard flourish which was a RAK from B.....
Sentiment is from PTI- Round & Round stamp set.....
Finished the project with some paper roses & gemstones......

ICRC9

Since I wasn't happy with the one I made above, I resorted to another one in a jiffy.... I sat up that night to work on this creation amidst all packing that had to be done..... I had to basically clear my craft room mess, with all the stamps used, lying around inked & messy!

Once I reached Ranchi, based on the opinions of my family, I opted for the first one to go live as an inspiration with the challenge.... :O Pheww!!!!

NOTE :

Since it is a Celebration challenge marking a small milestone of crossing 100 members & 1000 photographs at ICR, & the sponsored candy is really big, we thought it better for the challenge ICRC9 to be extended for another fortnight!!!

So pull up your socks for a celebration bash!!! Do join us at ICRC9!!!

That is it for now.... Will be back with some miscellaneous stuffs soon... :D
