A SELF INVITE TO WELCOME ME BACK!

I know... I myself had stopped blogging & now I try to make my way back in..... Wondering if anybody is still around for me... 😜

Well.... That is me... In case you have forgotten..... 😘 Am still the same after all these years... I have always loved myself & I will continue to..... 

OMG 😮 First of all, I had a hard time remembering the entry point to my blog.... The very email id it has been registered under.... Am thankful to the frame work  & components of blogger.com which had secured an option for Email under Contact Me, which helped me recollect a lost email id..... Then the next step of course was to change my password which is obvious.... 😏 Once I got through that I ended up here, into making a new post on my old, lost & found blog.... 😍

Had just gotten back into crafting & I desperately wanted my space where I could word all my thoughts as neither Twitter nor Instagram gave me the freedom to go on & on..... 

Just the way My Heart Will Go On.... 💞

Now that am here, I will get back to scribbling my way to ur hearts, if u r game to reading me....

AsRa - A NAME PLATE For Self Of Self By Self!

Hello,

After long got into crafting & this time wished to work on something I never tried before.... After much thinking, a hard board that I picked from home & brought along struck my mind & I knew what I wanted to work on......

A NAME PLATE for self of self by self..... With loads of mix media around doing the run, I wanted to give it a try too... I have had tried lil tit bits in the past.... A Gift Tag & a Canvas for swap.... But they were the minimal I tried.... This time a lil bigger yet in a simple subtle tone.....

The thought of working on a Name Plate did scare me 'cuz it wasn't a Card which is my comfort zone nor a petty lil album or the sorts.... It was a Name Plate.... The very term is so big & for an amateur to take a dig is definitely challenging....

It wasn't my normal happy sad days either..... I was sulking & realized I cud not let it pass by just being in it & allowing self to sink; I had to channelize my mind into something else which can help me overcome & make the days shorter for me....

So yes I had to let myself at the least attempt one; I cud fail not meeting my own expectations, but I wud be happy I did something to begin with.....

TUTORIAL - KITTY PARTY INVITES!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

Had been MIA for long..... Nothing new u say? :/

Yup! U have a point... No escape now.... Its a part of me now... & will remain so for quite sometime now....

Since I came back to Ranchi from Bangalore after a very long stay, due to my treatments in the process, the kitty group here @ Ranchi {I was coaxed into being a part of, after moving to Ranchi, for the first time in my life ever} asked me to host my kitty since I was healthy this time & since I wud b MIA again; Whoa!!!!

I knew it wud eat my time I had in hand, but again no escape; I had to 'cuz I had to :P

And this group comprises of aunties from my building where I reside & around.... {BORE!} Had attended theirs where I wud b alive mostly over the dining table.... :P {Food} But since I was hosting this month, I was determined that I wanted to make it lively than the one's I had been to.... And being a Paper Crafter, what better opportunity to show off a lil of your Paper Crafting skills to these aunties who yap a lot, ALWAYS!!!

And that was when I got my opening to Paper Crafts after a long long time.... I was actually yearning for a reason to craft.... And was given one!

Firstly, indulged in some handmade Kitty Party Invites; A lil stamping & a lil assembling of die cut work got my invites ready to be appreciated by ALL :D

And since here @Ranchi the awareness is nil as far as Paper Crafts are concerned, it gave me the perfect scope to create some.... There were many lil things I indulged in, but here I am wanting to share how I created my invites!

And here is a look of the invites:







Now lets get on with the making to them...... I used the dies from Itsy Bitsy towards achieving my small invite covers... Two different dies from the same set..... After I had the two pieces in hand, scored them in a way that those pieces put together would serve my purpose!




Scored, creased the fold & applied fevi bond & put it aside to dry.... After which I glued the two pieces together & VOILA! there I get my final cover for the invite :)






The finally made covers!!!




I had photoshoped the matter to the invite & printed them out directly onto thin red cardstock... After which I trimmed off the edges to help them go into the approximately 3X3 inches cover....




I stamped a Kitty Cat on the wrong side of the covers.... to suit the purpose it was made for.... :)




Those are the ready covers..... Now all it wanted was a lil decor to give it the required handmade look!




Here's how I achieved it! Stamped a hello stamp; and cut them out with the circle die cut..... after which I adhered the pieces together with pop dots.... And they went on the front of the cover to complete my invites!

I was definitely happy to have indulged in crafting after a long long time.....  :D

ICRC26 {CANDY HOLDERS + LOVE IS "UP IN THE AIR"}

Hello All!

On my space I missed the Jan post for ICRC25 as I could not cook up something in time..... :(

But this time thankfully I could make it on time.... And with the Month long celebrations marking the Second Birthday of ICR, I had to find those extra seconds, minutes or even hours for my creations & projects..... Hope you would all join us too in our celebrations..... :)

So going forward with our regular challenges on ICR, ICRC26 has been rolled out & I must admit, it calls for scrappy fun!

Here is the story board for you.....

I made some last minute candy holders... :P

Not sure if they are up to the mark, as I usually take time with what I do..... but unfortunately it was a last minute one..... Hoping you would like it!



It's a mini bag for a candy holder.... Loved the miniature bags... They look so very adorable in real!

And I used a stamp from Clear Stamps for the cute image.... I loved the teddy hanging on to a bunch of balloons & I played in with the words for a suitable sentiment..... :)



So here is a capture of all the miniature bag I made to hold the candies...... 

I had come across it somewhere on Martha's Space & since then I wanted to try them.... And ICRC26 was the perfect escape for my creative want..... :P

Just regular DPs from my stash.....
Printed out the template on to them & followed instructions for the cuts & folds......
Added in the twine loops for handles....
Tucked some pieces of butter paper into them all & filled them with Pan Chewies I found at a local store here at Ranchi.....
And filled one with Hershey's Kisses!
As I mentioned above, played with few words for some cool sentiments & picked few from the web....
Created them in the photoshop & printed them onto a doc.....
Punched them all out with my SU! Label Punch......



And yes ICRC26, is being sponsored by Bugaboo digi stamps .... 

They have mentioned our challenge in their space & have featured two of our projects too..... We are extremely grateful for the honorary mentions...... :)
