Joy Filled Embossing Hop!

Hello,

Its time for another blog hop on ICR...
And our designer has chimed in a simple & cute theme to help us cook for year end celebrations.....  "Emboss Me Anything - Wet/Dry"

Hop along & create JUST ANYTHING with an embossing technique of your choice & occasion.....

Here is what I worked on for the hoppy hop.... Hope u like it :)

I have been inspired by a sketch from 
Fusion Card Challenge- Theme & Sketch

The card base is from Itsy Bitsy.... in Off white... Patterned Stripes
The layer above from Fabriano in Choco Brown....

It was a beautiful embossing technique I followed from the net.... Where one cud emboss with just any color they chose;

Just use any stamp of your choice.... 
Ink Press it into the versamark embossing ink pad & again re press it into an ink pad of any color you choose to use on your project... 
Once done then stamp the image on your project....
Now cover the image with clear embossing powder & then heat set it.....

Ta Da! You are done with an embossed image with a color of your choice without using the color embossing powders...... 

P.S. Not an invention of my own... Found it on Pinterest & You Tube; But lost the source as I had not saved the links :( Tried finding it back again, much... But in Vain!

Loved trying this new technique without having to use the embossing powder in a color I wanted.... You must give it a try!

After which I die cut a circle with my nestabilities circle die & managed to trim it in such a way that I just had only that part that wud seem like a wreath..... I then embellished it with few punched leaves & a die cute from Memory Box wreath die.... I cut it into pieces i wanted to cover my lil circle with to shape a convincing wreath....

I even used a mulberry rose from stash.... along with tiny gem stones in red to add a lil zing to the project!

To finish it used a sentiment from an Itsy Bitsy Stamp Set.... JOY....

That is pretty much of my simple project for the "Emboss Me Anything Wet/Dry" themed blog hop today....

Color Life 2 Frame - ICR MARCH BLOG HOP!

Hello,

Its time for another blog hop on ICR...
And with HOLI, The festival of colors being celebrated this month end, we at ICR are letting you hop with the theme being "CELEBRATION OF COLORS"....

Hop along & create a CARD celebrating colors of ur choice & occasion..... but do not forget to add in some sparkle or shine!

Here is what I worked on for the hoppy hop.... Hope u like it :)

I have been inspired by a sketch from 
CAS Colors & Sketches... Challenge 164...





The card base is from Fabriano.... in white...
The layer above from Fabriano in green....

To begin with, I printed out the boat on it & heat embossed the outer part of the boat in white...
After which I again heat embossed the inner part of the boat in pink embossing powder...

I then opened the almost dried up bottles of acrylic paint & picked them up with the base of the corn on the cob stick as I wanted it smaller in size... to form the flowers in different colors....
I let it dry for sometime & then smudged the burnt umber from unity stamps & bamboo leaves from memento piling on each other for a while to get that cloudy look on the layer...

I then mixed the acrylic paint with a lil water & brushed out the leaves of a tree besides for that late evening feel when the boat full of beauty is sailing in the dark waters.... I even doodled lightly for the waters arnd.... & simply brushed the bamboo leaves memento ink pad to shadow the boat into the waters....

I loved it that way however my hubby felt it just looked scenic with no stress on to something on the card.... I felt I stressed on the boat but i guess it seemed less & hence to give it an edge I decided to frame the scene... which aptly fell into place with the sentiment in hand then...



Sentiment from my forever loved Stampin' Up inked with Versa Color Grape.... That layer for the sentiment was used up from the scrap stash.... 

I finally completed the project by adding in some self adhesive halved pearls from Itsy Bitsy... 

That is pretty much of my simple project for the celebrations of colors themed blog hop today....

Indian Flag Colors Blog Hop 01, 2016!

Hello....

Happy Lori & Makar Sankranti to all....

Today ICR is set up with its activities to commence from today..... And ICRBH01 is just the one for now..... Themed beautifully with an opportunity to play the beautiful colors of Our National Flag.... Come play with us... Hope & Create & Link back to the inlinkz....

Such amazing inspirations but up by the awesome designers.... You would look at our colors differently going forward.... HOP!!!!

Its just unfortunate that I was not able to work on any project due to my traveling & being away from home... I hope to get back to my crafting sooner... & this time leading self to that period when I was high with a gr8 thought flow....

ICR HOLI PICHKARI BLOG HOP {2013}

Hello Everyone!

Its my pleasure to welcome you all to the HOLI PICHKARI BLOG HOP presented by ICR TEAM....

Holi On Wikipedia : Holi is also called the Spring Festival - as it marks the arrival of spring the season of hope and joy. The gloom of the winter goes as Holi promises of bright summer days. Nature too, it seems rejoices at the arrival of Holi and wears its best clothes. Fields get filled with crops promising a good harvest to the farmers and flowers bloom colouring the surroundings and filling fragrance in the air. 

My first Holi here at Ranchi, but unfortunately not kinda up to it..... to have fun the way I had planned to.... its okay may be next year I shud b all fit & fine to enjoy it to the core... :P

So here is my HOLI PROJECT for you..... Hope you like it!

I took the cue from the recent PTI make it Monday..... Though could not achieve it to the fullest, I am happy for a starter.... Would definitely work towards perfecting it!




Worked with White CS to achieve the front of the card.....
Image is a Hero Arts stamp.....
First made an impression on the CS with water colors & then with embossing ink.....
Then heat embossed the image after which I spritzed the colors from the base to achieve the splash!

Sentiment is a PUN FUN! 
Which goes with both the occasions..... Occasion of HOLI as well as Occasion of LIFE!
Punched it out on photoshop & printed it onto a transparent sheet.....

Below is another capture of the same.....

The colors have been inspired by PDCC 174.... 

I did not wanna repeat the dark hues from last year, hence found these colors apt to differentiate.....

ICR turned a YEAR OLDER yesterday….. And we had a BLAST with our celebrations.... Was impressed by the enthu displayed by all our participants on ICR! Thanks a bunch as that is what that keeps us motivated, all year through.... :D

We have put together a TREASURE HUNT FOR YOU PEEPS…. TREASURE HUNT is a game where participants try to find hidden articles/objects termed as TREASURES with the help of CLUES, respectively…..

COLLECT YOUR TREASURES & CLUES FROM THE DESIGNER CARDS ON EVERY DT BLOG…… Look IN FOR THE TREASURES IN THE ICR GALLERY!

AND ONCE you have found the treasures mentioned, you will have to tell us, exactly the name of the creation on which you found the treasure & the name of the creator…. {as it appears in the ICR GALLERY}

I know it is REAL ADVENTUROUS FUN!
