ICRSC - WATERFALL FOLIO (April 2016 Swop)

Hello,

ICR saw its first swop happen after all these years of being paused... In the captaincy of Gopi Shah, ICR Swop Circle (ICRSC) is up & running with its April 2016 swop... Season 2 is one of its kind....

Subjecting to Projects it got us participants try something which we wud not have had otherwise in d near future.... WATERFALL FOLIO!!!

Here is what I made for the swop....





Chipboard from Itsy Bitsy...
DPs were a rack from Banu from way past.... when i had just started.... & am thankfully using them till date... :D
Doily from stash... halved... 
Stamped it with a round & round inkadinkadoo stamp with black versa color...
Brad from stash for an easy locking system... to be hooked by a tag from stash being upcycled here... 
Beneath is a small chip board tag which was a part of a hmmmm... I guess Wrangler Jeans purchased by hubby.... {I love when I use up what I have accumulated from around... }<3 :="" me="" span="">
Die cut the base for sentiment....
Sentiment printed out on to the Die Cut CS.... {The words being just my thought.... Again SO IN LOVE WID SELF}<3 :="" me="" span="">
Used a piece of chipboard to score & crease for an additional tag adhered to the cover of the folio... 
Stamped it with I guess tim holtz stamps... & to hold it down used an animal paper clip of that of a rabbit..... 
Inserted the eyelet & twined in a burlap twine with few hangings from stash... A charm picked from Itsy Bitsy along with a can pull up I ripped off a fanta can.... {Upcycling is so much fun at peace.... Love to ME}<3 :="" b="" me="">





For the inside used up the DPs from RAK....
& CS in white from Fabriano...
And for the Tags.... AGAIN UPCYCLED few garment tags I piled up to stash out.... {So love it when I use up my waste stash}<3 me:="" span="">
That includes few thin CS tags & A cloth tag too which has Lee or Wrangler printed on it... However I labeled a burlap tag on it to cover it smoothly.... {So in Love With ME}<3 :="" br="" ing="" me="">
AND it has the base of a pack of flowers from Prima Rose which I had stashed out & finally got a perfect chance to use it up... I so loved the base with its grungy frames & designed edges..... {OF COURSE Love To Me}<3 :d="" me:="" span="">

Yup I definitely LOVE MYSELF when I appreciate self with my mind acting smart creatively.... :P

And FINALLY as the swop progressed towards its end.... With participants sending out their heartily skilled projects to their respective partners.... And I received mine from My dear Teammate.... Sharada Dilip Acharya.... I textly call her as "SDA" to avoid confusions & save time.... ;)



Isn't that beautiful.... I was so worried 'cuz swops see U receiving some really sad projects in return to your all loved & hard worked craft Projects..... But this was a relief of a fearful sulk I was anticipating.... :P

 

I so loved the beautiful tags.... M gonna use it up for my niece... My only kid for life... <3 span="">



AND not to forget she even sent me few pieces of lovely beautiful adorable DPs.... Its always a pleasure to receive something you do not have..... :) Am just thankful for this kind gesture Sharada.... Loads of Love & (((Hugs)))

ICRC19 {FANCY FOLDS + ANYTHING BUT EASEL FOLD}!!!

Hello Everyone, {*** A Lil Picture Heavy Post***}


I did not wanna be late with my inspiration this time as compared to the last for ICRC18.... :p


And moreover this time we have the most complicated of all challenges, the FANCY FOLDS.... Phew!


May be that is an easy task to most who are well versed with these folds & indulge in them on every alternative project they do, but for me believe me it was not that easy at all..... I made one for the challenge & did not quite like it.... Hence attempted another, which finally made as an inspiration for ICRC19!


But when photographed, even the previous did look good though.... But since it did not satisfy me in real, I did not wanna post that as an inspiration.... But would surely share it with you peeps, here on my blog space.... :D


To go ahead with ICRC19, here is the challenge pad for you....

And now for the inspiration towards it....



That is a horizontal GATE FOLD CREATION..... The Card Front!





When the tassel unwinds against the Sentiment Brad, it flips open... 



Just an angled shot where it poses a housed structure.... :p


Thanking certain challenges which helped me through in creating this project.....


Color Throwdown for its Colors..... (Grey, Orange, slight darker shade of Cameo Coral & Pool Party)

The Prep :


For the base used both grey CS as well as Cameo Coral shade CS from Fabriano.... Adhered them together....
Trimmed the edge of the grey CS with SU! Eyelet edge punch....
Repetitive stamping of the ferns from Studio G, a RAK from B...
Let the sentiment For You hang from the Vintage Die Cuts from Provo Craft.....
Sentiment is from Close To My Heart a RAK from B.....
Bird Punch from Stampin' UP!
Epoxy Brad with sentiment So Happy, a RAK from B.....
Baker's Twine for the tasseled locking system..... 







This vertical GATE FOLD creation below was the initial inspiration I made, which I quite did not like after being created.... :( Looks different in the photograph though!





The Prep:


Chocolate CS from fabriano fro the base..... 
Adhered an embossed CS from Itsy Bitsy on to the one side of the card front & on the other adhered a DP from Deja Views Wedding Collection....
For the outer frame used the Edgeabilities Rose Blossoms which was a RAK from B....
The inner frames were die cuts out of the Scalloped oval die from Nestabilities.....
Used the Vintage Die cuts from Provo Craft for the corners.....
Distressed the frames by sponging some wall nut stain distress ink around....
Added a dash of halved pearls from Itsy Bitsy on the center of the die cut rose blossom & around too...
Adhered some silver pearls from stash.....


On the inside adhered an Oval cut shape from an embossed DP from Itsy Bitsy..... which has been distressed by sponging ink around.....






You ought to give ICRC19 a serious try moving out of your comfort zone, for once if you are basically a two fold card maker like me..... :P


And for the card makers whose forte is FANCY FOLD, then this is your cup of tea..... Brew it along with ICRC19!!!

SOME VAGUE CONTENT!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!! No projects as such to post about...... just a few vague things, like a RAK & few recent findings..... I know everything sounds so lethargic..... I am still not back to my fluttery self..... hence just thought of clearing few things that I wanted to blog about since so many days....

Firstly a RAK from Ginger Brown of the very popular space for word arts.... Ginger's House!!!! Yes, she is sponsoring the current challenge (ICRC6) at ICR too..... :)

Some days earlier, she sponsored a 20$ Gift Certificate to TSB, out of kindness, which really moved me..... Hence I did shop at The Stamping Boutique... I shopped a digi & 2 rubber stamps..... Tracey from TSB, is one of my favorite digi artist..... She is way too good at what she does...... Thank You so much for the sponsored shopping time!!!!

So here is a glimpse of what I picked..... And she sent a lovely card along with the stuffs, created with a digi from her store.... I loved the neat lines on the creation..... Check it out yourselves!!!

HAD TO STOP FOLLOWING BLOGS!!!!

And just today as I tried following few blog spaces, I found out why was I not able to do it all these days..... My Following list had reached the max of 300... I was like OMG!!!! Seriously, freaked out..... Went back to my following list & managed to stop following some food spaces, which were out in action!!! I deleted some 25 spaces & that gives me some space for new blogs to be followed, but of course now related to crafts!!!! YUPPIE!!!!!

So my fellow crafters, here I come following, to be inspired!!!!

And this was an award, shared with me by my fellow crafter Hussena a few weeks back...... I would love to share it with anyone, who stops by & does not have it.... ('cuz most of them do... ;)

Today I have just been able to move around than being stuck to a place.... I should be back fluttering in another 3-4 days & promise to be back with some new projects that I have promised myself to work on...... See ya then!!!!!

WIN & RAKS!!!

Hello Peeps!!! No projects in this post here..... but wanted to share some WIN & RAKS I just received recently..... But could not post as I was held with many other things..... :)

So here they are......

Firstly is a £10 gift certificate prize I won at Delightful Sketches, for Crafty Emma's Store.... All thanks to Tejal! You wonder why Tejal...!!!!

Once I submit my entries, I never go back to check out if it made to the TOP or if it won something..... But before Tejal left on her vacation, she asked me to have look around for her submissions.... And that was when I went back to mine to look for the same.... And VOILA!!!! There I found a 10 pound GC awaiting me..... I was all nervous as I wondered if I still stood a chance..... But Lisa & Emma were so so sweet that they let me order it, even after 2 weeks.... Phew!!!

So who has the right to thankfulness??? Of course Tejal..... Thank u so much deary..... Hugs))))

So here is what I ordered...... And even received it in no time..... Within a span of 3 days..... God Bless the Postal Service!!!!




Next is a RAK I received from Gopi, who was kind enough to sponsor our new challenge at ICR..... ICRC5!!! Thank u so much sweetie... :) Lovely 'M'bellies!!!




And here is dear Piali's RAK ......

I simply adored that card she sent along with those yummy papers & embellishments.... I was simply amazed as I had not come across anything like it till date..... Those varied brads, teeny tiny eyelets & amazingly GORGEOUS papers are turning me greedy enough, to not let me use them..... 'cuz I use then & they get exhausted.....



Above are double sided DPs..... Other sides are captured in the inset.... So lemme see till when would I be able to save them.... ;)

Hey!!! This post is to share few swaps & goodies I had received last month...... I loved loved them all......

ACTIVITY, RAKs & PURCHASES!!!!

Hello! Had a few backlogs that had to be cleared... Not ATCs again..... They are all done with only the future ones to be posted..... Well this is about a few RAKs I received shortly & one of the shipments I was eagerly waiting for.... :)

So here they go.....

The first one is a RAK sent on my Wedding Anniversary this month, by our very own Sudha Kalra, who is 'enthusiasm personified' :) Sometimes her gestures just get me carried away..... I love the initiatives she takes in spreading that extra love in your life..... And I am sure, she would be blessed with more joy & happiness for herself.... Wishes for all your future endeavors deary.... :D

That was a nice & sweet card.. The cuts were totally fresh for me.... She sent me some 6X6 hand made DPs.... & a small pouch of embells.... Sweet!!!!

The one below is a RAK from my friend Banu.... It was so sweet of her to send me some love, my way.... What do I say? I love everything in the captures below..... On the first my favorites are buttons, flourishes, ribbons, tape runners, CS & That GORGEOUS Ippity Stamp..... WOW!!!!

Here below are some DPs with lovely prints on them, tacky tape, ribbon & some American Crafts blossoms..... :) I love them all.... It is hard for me to express how I feel.... I can only wish her loads & loads of happiness for the lovable person she is..... :)

The snapshot below are my wins at challenges..... Thanks for the opportunities.... :) My personal favorite has been the scrap book kit as that was the challenge & candy that made me move out of my comfort zone of cards to attempting, scrapbooking for the first time..... :) I have to admit that was sheer inspiration.... :D Thank You!!!!

And here below are my recent purchases made..... I had been waiting for the shipments so very eagerly... Almost on my toes..... ;) One of it reached me & still looking forward to the other I have to receive from SU! Finger Crossed X...... :P

It has some dies, brads, impression plates, tape runners, binder rings & a corner punch.... :)

And here below are the captures from the unique challenge (Scrappy Scrap Challenge) we had hosted by our very talented Shalini Aggarwal..... I salute her for her awesome thought on it.... The closure was amazing with few awesome creations who made it to the top..... I did not :( So what I participated with zeal!!!! And that counts too... I guess!

So below is the capture of the scraps she sent across to us..... & following is my creation that the scraps were transformed into..... :)

So that is the end of all the gala time I had, when I was not crafting.... :D

Now with all the paraphernalia, I better get down to create some magic for me & others too.... :)

Hello!!! As I said in my previous post, I am here to post the awesome love I received from all around...... Rightfully A season of Love!!!! They are all so awesome & I am so so overwhelmed..... Hugs))))

Here they are....

A card sent to me by Mansi, on the account of a game we played online, known as Pay It Forward!!! I had seen this creation of hers on her space, but had not expected it to be so so gorgeous in real...... Truly beautiful Creation Mansi!!!!

And below are the stamps that I just bought from her... Are they not appealing!!!! Can't wait to see themselves being stamped on my creations.... :)

Here is the Secret Package I received from Maria Castillo..... I was floored by this gesture of hers..... Cho Chweeeeeeeeeet!!!!!! And they are all very very enticing, of course.... Thanks a lot Maria to have put this together for me, regardless, of having a limited access to the yummy crafty products yourself..... I hold this gesture very high..... Hugs))))

Well!!! Last But certainly not the least.... This was a surprise package I received from my dear crafty friend Shraddha..... She is so sweet by nature... No wonder she has put these things together for me, as a surprise..... I was really moved by this gesture fo hers.....

But currently is suffering from A MOJO SWITCH OFF!!!! I really really hope she finds her lost mojo & gets back working wonders on papers..... :)

I am really really lucky to have known all these & many more wonderful people out here in this blog world..... People I knew never existed, but who are now a part of my life..... :D

This spread of goodies are sent to me, by Jaya from CraftyJC Challenge, for being one among the winners of the Diwali challenge..... The most awesomest part of it was that I received them on the first of The New Year.... As it is said, I hope it repeats itself the entire year... If that happens, but obvious, happiness to me all the way.... ;)
