First Pocket Letter Page Ever 4 my Mom!!!

Hello,

This month is one of the most creative so far as it is so being announced on ICR... I meant the monthly challenge/CoasteRide is something one would not wanna miss on if you are a paper crafter & You Love MOM... :D

I MEAN IT WHEN I SAY IT... :)

Here is what I created for the CoasteRide Fun with ICRCSUM01 by Shraddha....



Am sure after that peek into the creation you might have guessed the CoasteRide put forth on ICR for YOU CRAZY PASSIONATE CRAFTERS.... :D

A sneak peek to the preparation of this project is shared in here... Not exactly a tutorial from A TO Z... Nevertheless it gives you an exact picture of the very process to this Project... Am sure you would take your cues from it to whatever extent possible & make one for your mom this May; TouchWood!!!

 We were definitely supposed to pocket these letters which was awesome for a safe & secure storage...

 Unfortunately the vellum did not support me here 'cuz its short of transparency... Hence I had to conclude the project adhering it above the vellum sheet.... So to keep it clear...

And as a better option to keep the PL Page living for as long as it could without the safety sleeve, was to get it framed...


And now it adorns a wall at moms place... Am so happy about everything related to this amazing project I caught an opportunity to attempt & adorn....

ICRSS02 - "MASTANI" TIME!!!

Hey!

Am back & this time it is for a Scrappy Lay Out (LO) created for ICR to go with the revamped scrapbook series for the year 2016... And I have loved the idea of playing with my scraps ever since I was introduced to art of scrapbooking to create something to keep :) 

And scrapping! be it an album of any size or just individual pages to form a book by the end... its all just fun.... And thankfully the new scrapbook series for 2016 rightfully began to help me find my scraps back....

So here goes my first LO for the year long fun....



And my project is for the month of February for the year long fun is ICRSS02!

And this is the story board to it....

I was inspired by the sketch on ICRSS02...
AND picked on the colors & themes from CSI : Case File No.191



Since I was away from home with no supplies & had to desperately create something ASAP... went to the local craft store & picked up few supplies.... Of which DIY Album was one... which got me a page to work on being the BG....

Stamped a FILM REEL with G Studio stamp repetitively to create a cute lil BG to suit my theme....
Layered the pic of my niece with her PVR Popcorn bucket to kinda frame it & adhered it on the stamped BG....
I just wanted it all to go with the theme & hence thought of using popcorn for embellishment....
Made few popcorns with artist paper which was flexi enough to fake them convincingly :D
My mom so loved the way they turned out to be... I was happy with self too.... I cud achieve what I had wanted & with very lil hassles....
Added few sticky notes around as embellishment as well as a title piece to my story....
Stamped another stamp on the lower right end to go with the sketch yet sticking to the theme....
And finished it off with my journaling of the moment....

Definitely the day when my 2 yr old niece was introduced to Mastani & Malhari & Pinga.... 3 of her favorite dance nos. from recent times.... She loves to hear them watch them & sway along with them... She recognizes them from anywhere around.... AS MASTANI PINGA & MALHARI.... :D Those actors have those as their nicks now from Dhee's point of view.... not knowing their original names.... The way the sleeping baby woke up to the tune of "MASTANI DIWANI" & how she still does is always so adorable & helped me frame it for her to keep it as her adorable memory of her lovely childhood....

SCRAP INDIA FEST{2012} - ISICR12 & FINAL MONTH!!!

Hello Everyone!


Here is the TWELVETH MONTH OF SCRAPPING at the SCRAP INDIA FEST{2012}!!!

And below is the challenge pad for the month of December along with my inspiration & LO for this month......

DARE : Negatives of Die Cuts & Punch Outs!

Those were the only set of photographs i have in hand.... The ones from my Vaishno Devi trip..... Hence this FIRST PERSONAL ALBUM of MINE is all dedicated to that trip..... :D





And I thank CSI case File No. 47 for the lovely colors that adorn my LO..... 

The Sketch from ICR & the Colors from CSI got my LO all pepped up..... :D




1) CS in burnt red for the base is from Fabriano....

2) The Teal CS for the layer was a RAK from B.....

3) Cream CS is the NEGATIVE of the FANCY DIE CUT & is from Fabriano....

4) Picture is from my Vaishno Devi Trip in the month of December, 2011.....

5) Green meshed piece of kinda burlap sheet from Landmark....

5) Floral accents are either from itsy Bitsy, RTO or RAKs.....

6) The leaves beneath are the punched out wings of SU! Bird Punch....

7) Heat embossed the frame with golden embossing powder....

8) Journaling Tag is from Kaiser Craft.....

9) The golden accent was picked up from a local store.....

And this page is gonna be the first & welcoming page to my FIRST PERSONAL SCRAP ALBUM..... 

That is pretty much all, for the December month of Scrapping.....

It is the DEAD END & I request all the participants to hurry up with their pending LOs for the Year 2012..... After all it would be satisfying to see a self made album for YOUR FAMILY.... :D

Handcrafting albums on ORDER, for the WORLD is just not satiable.... We LOVE & LIVE it only when we have handcrafted them for OUR OWN SELVES..... MARK MY WORDS!!!

SCRAP INDIA FEST{2012} - ISICR11!!!

Hello Everyone!!!

OMG! I just realized I had not blogged my scrap LOs I made through out the year for the SCRAP INDIA FEST{2012}.... And even realized I had escaped few months in between & now since we are at the DEAD END, I ought to hurry with few pending LOs too..... Phew!!! Am gonna be a DEAD MEET by the Year End.....

Life has been so hectic off late..... My moving, my illness(that takes your time too), my orders, my family, my neighbors, my moods, my community, my this , my that..... EVERY BIT OF THESE have been keeping me tight with my schedules.....

Am literally YEARNING for a FREE MIND so I can simply RELAX & say to myself.... "Aah! I have got nothing to do..... " & look out for something afresh to keep me engaged..... WHEN WOULD THAT HAPPEN????? God you are listening????? Helloooooooooooooooo..................

I know YOU are & very soon I would have MY TIME.... After all I am YOUR FAVORITE!!!

Okay I guess that is enough for an outlet to my feelings right now.... lets get down to business again.....

So here is the ELEVENTH MONTH OF SCRAPPING at the SCRAP INDIA FEST{2012}!!!

Here is the challenge pad for the month of November along with my inspiration & LO for that month......

DARE : Geometric Shapes!

Those were the only set of photographs i have in hand.... The ones from my Vaishno Devi trip..... Hence this FIRST PERSONAL ALBUM of MINE is all dedicated to that trip..... :D



And I thank CSI case File No. 44 for the lovely colors that adorn my LO..... 

The Sketch from ICR & the Colors from CSI got my LO all pepped up..... :D

1) CS in Teal for the base is a RAK from B....

2) Sunny Yellow CS for the layer is from Fabriano....

3) Picture is from my Vaishno Devi Trip in the month of December, 2011.....

4) Bigger Sized doily at the BG picked up from a local market..... They are simply called as PAPER MATS here.... :p

5) Circle Swirls are the Round & Round Stamp from Inkadinkadoo.....

6) Since my main motive is to use my scraps for my scrap pages, you can see them around... The Triangles as per the DARE on ICR are scraps from a year pile.... Same goes with the orange bordered accent on the top.... Same with the stamped sentiment "I'm nuts about you", a scrap from a year long pile.... Swirl punched out accent is another scrap from around.... And the piece of burlap too.... The round in cream is the protective layering of an ICR price tag.....

7) Stenciled the negative of the fancy swirl die cut... Just brushed some ink through it & loved the impressions it made.... Subtle ones!

That is pretty much all for the November month of Scrapping.....

SCRAP INDIA FEST{2012} - ISICR1!!!

Heya! Back again.....

Indian Crafters are officially Scrapping now..... Where? ON ICR......

ICR launched its official scrapping club, for Indian Crafters..... And since this was just the beginning & a very new concept to many, we wanted to keep it simple so crafters can learn the skills at a slow pace..... And the SCRAP INDIA FEST {2012} commenced this JANUARY......

Here is the challenge pad for the month of January along with my inspiration & LO for that month...... DARE : Use Swirls....

Since I was just back from my Vaishno Devi trip, I thought I would make use of the freshness of my vacation..... But I did not quite like the way the LO, turned out..... :(

I love the family picture though..... :D
Recycled the tassels from my hubby's EDT!
Journaling was printed out on the back of a handmade DP from RTO..... {Reliance Time Out}
Used the nuts for the props as they were a part of the prasad.....


And here is the challenge pad for the current month..... FEBRUARY!

DARE: Add Tags

And below is my inspiration for this month...... And I simply loved the way it turned out..... More because I got an opportunity to add a spotlight on Kuku... {My Hubby}.... After all it is our month of togetherness.... :p

Used all those DPs I had picked up from Itsy Bitsy long back & had not used.....
I love SCRAPPING for the simple reason it gives me the PERFECT OPPORTUNITY to use up ALL MY SCRAPS!!!
Tag was from Itsy bitsy....
And the die cut hearts were also picked from Itsy Bitsy.... Just doodled on them..... to give it a dimension..... And I loved the way it spotlights my hubby....

I simply cherish these memories & SCRAPPING gives us the scope to do it the FUN way!!!

BIRTHDAY PROPOSAL PROJECTS!!!

Hey!!! As I said in my previous post, I'm back with a post dedicated to some customized projects I worked on recently.....

To give you an insight to it, I took them up as they were very challenging & I had not attempted anything like them earlier...... I never worked on any customized projects with preset specifications, which acts as limitations to your flow of thoughts..... But even to be able to work wonders within such limitations, is a kind of challenge that I love in my life.....

'cuz limitations helps bring out the 'best in you' at times..... It becomes a hidden blessing for us to know our potentials.....:D

And with this project it had many such limitations in terms of time, pattern, source of info, specifications & most importantly the GENDER, I was making it for..... MASCULINE!!!!

It took me days to figure out how I started & once I did, it took time to execute my thought flow..... I had to curb my thoughts as there was no space or time for it.... :(

And the projects expected were

1) a PROPOSAL CARD for a MAN from a WOMAN....
2) An Album with flip flop pages, representing her fiance's 28 years of life... with a box!
3)Lettered Sheets of his name, with space for her to do some journal-ling......

So with the support & understanding of Kuku, I dedicated time & efforts of 4 days, & managed to complete it with satisfaction, but the nervousness prevailed with me wondering if I was able to execute her thoughts onto my projects or not!!!!

So here's some glimpse of my works..... :)



The boxed flip flop album, the proposal card & the lettered sheets!!!



I embossed the flourish images for the corner frames on the card front......

Used the large sized doily I received from Maria Castillo during my secret Sweetheart swap...
The heart shaped doily was a RAK from B.....
Flourish are sizzix die cuts.....
Arranged the white roses with foamed adhesive backings in the center as she wanted a floral arrangement on the card....



And on the inside of the card she wanted a pic of a woman on her knees proposing the man..... Aah!! Very hard one....

Well!!! Sandra Bullock came to my rescue here..... I watermarked her image of Proposal onto the card.... :P



That teddy I added onto that tag card was a RAK from Tejal..... She was so kind to offer me few things I felt in need of, for the project.... but unfortunately just used this one teddy from the lot she sent across..... Thank u so much Tejal, as I quite liked it on the tag.... :) The ribbon I wrapped around the card was the swap I received from Romina...... :)



And now to the RESULT!!! An overwhelming response!!!! I met the client to hand over her order... She was but obviously excited to check them all out & looked forward to seeing them & having them in hand.....

As soon as she saw the card, she pulled me over & planted a kiss on my cheeks!!!

Aaah!!! That feeling was like a never to be forgotten moment in my life & the one to be treasured as well.... And nothing else mattered to me after that..... I could see my efforts serving the purpose..... I was moved for sure by this gesture & it goes without saying, 'cuz I'm very emotional.... All that it takes is a TOUCH to my heart..... And then there is no way that I would not feel for at person..... They become a part of me, from then..... :D

She even said, if I were a guy & I gave that card to her proposing my love, she would have broken the shackles of an engagement too, if she had to..... What more can a crafter be appreciated with, for the efforts & passion she puts into that creation of hers.....!!!!

She went through the rest of the stuffs too & was simply amazed by the album..... She loved it so so much that it is hard to express those moments I had with her.... We had some lil talk & she was eager to meet Kuku (my hubby).... Her words were " Now that we have a relationship, I wanna meet the person who has such a passionate & talented wife" ..... :O

I was seriously flattered & so was my hubby.... My hubby left the 2 of us again with our girl talks over a cup of coffee!!!!

She was moved with a card I added on to her order, for her & her fiance, with a note of love & wishes....... The one HERE & I had mentioned then, that it was for a girl to be wedded soon....

On the whole that was a day which was so very full of love, happiness, appreciations, emotions & to top it all so full of celebrations!!! My hubby treated me with an ice cream treat post lunch, celebrating this feeling of content!!!! (My favorite Litchi with Ice Cream)

I LOVE MY LIFE!!!!!! Touch-Wood!!!!

Since I could not capture the entire album in terms of pictures, I thought a video of it should be apt.... So here it is.....

OMG! MY FIRST SCRAPBOOK PAGE!!!!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!! This is my OMG Post, for sure.... Because, this is my maiden attempt as far as a scrap booking page is concerned.... Seriously YES!!!!! I myself cannot believe it, that I did..... And I must admit & bow to Banu from Inspired Crafters, who has seriously inspired me into this, FINALLY!!!! I had this on my mind since several days... What days???? About to complete a year of card making & craft blogging..... I had been seeing people who have been there & done it all, do awesome pages for journaling..... I always dreamt of but somehow did not dare to.... I do not know what kept me back from attempting one.....

Of course I had hard time understanding the concept, first of all..... But even after I did, I could not make an attempt & NOW, all of a sudden, out of no where, I made one..... :O

I thank every soul who has been creating these pages & letting me dream that I would too, some day!!!!!

Well, I was determined this time & hence made this in a jiffy..... Really hope it justifies..... ;)
