ICR Best Selling Author!

Hello Everyone!

Am finally here to blog about the August wonderful ATC Trade on ICR....

Theme being "Let's Be Novelists" I so loved the theme & was so happy about the thought to it :D

So here is what I worked on to be a novelist on a miniature card :)

For the first I was inspired by one of my poems from the past.... I had titled it On The Roads Of Life!

And to make my novel cover I printed out a digi from my past stash... It was a cute image I so loved for it had everything so perfect to make one fall in love, yet again.... :) Am a love bird; A romantic & would remain so till the end...   :*

So yes... I printed it out to the size I required & colored it with bic markers;
 To give it the feel of a novel cover, I worked on the likes on photoshop & then printed out a rough copy on print paper to know how it seems...
After which I adhered my ATC layer on which I had already adhered the colored image with a magazine cut out of a road in the midst of a forest area, on the print paper above the rough print on it;
It printed it out well though with a lil mishaps on it.... The cardstock being thicker than the print paper may have led it to lose its positioning in turn leading to damage the printing process a lil; Hence you can see the print missing on at the beginning & end... 

However everything seemed to sink in well making me very proud about the way my theme was brought into life on the miniature paper;

And this was the other ATC Novel cover I worked on.... And it was again inspired by another poem I had scribbled from past.... I had titled it "Ghost Of The Dark"!

I worked on it the same way as I did for the above novel cover.... This image was again a digi from past stash & finally had a chance to work on it & quite liked the way it turned out.... but for the printing goof ups which seem really bad here on this; Yet it felt not so bad & hence I just let it be than meddling on it further.... :)

And yes the ATCs were sent out to my partners & really hope they liked it.... 'cuz I loved it & is very dear to me....

Being proud of what I made I even went to an extent of bringing up my novel covers alive.... ;)

Lightly adhered it on to a mini diary I had just to feel the feel of a novel cover....

BACKLOGS - MY ATCs!!!

Hello Everyone!!! As I said in my earlier post, I'm here to post & share my ATCs with you.....

To begin with here are my ATCs made for the month of MAY 2011.... Themed Birds & Animals!

I loved the theme way too much.... No wonder I was so happy & contended to the core with my ATCs.... I truly love them because I make them with all my love & passion & mostly I give them my time..... I want them TO BE ME at the end of the day..... ONE & ONLY!

So here they are....

Punches, free hand & stamps involved..... on both the above as well as the one below.....

And here below are the ATCs I made for the month of OCT 2011..... For the first ATC (India) held on THE Indian Craft Room....... :D

Themed Festive Greetings!

I made Diwali ATCs..... On the one above... I made an origami Indian Lantern & adhered it on the hand drawn BG.... I love the serial bulb lighting more... They really glow... :D

And this one was the first I made among the two.... And when I started off with it, the only thought I had in mind was Crackers for Diwali..... So this is what I came up with....

A CHAKRI cracker in action.....

I used a part of a floral stamp for the center.... Just stamped the straight line stamp from Technique Tuesday, repeatedly to give the bigger & well lit sparks which were embossed with golden embossing powder. And the rest are all free hand creations.... I doodled the smaller sparks with the golden gel pen & completed by distressing the white BG with black ink to give it the feel of THE NIGHT!!!

I hope you like them too..... :D

BACKLOGS - FEW RECENT RAKS & ATCs!!!

Heya Peeps!!!

Not here to post any of MY PROJECTS, but this post is to share few recent RAKS I received & few months old, ATCs..... The ones I received for the respective months.....

And receiving beautiful works from fellow crafters is an AMAZING FEELING in itself..... I know the entire world agrees with me on this..... :D

So without further delay, let's check them all out ONE BY ONE!

Firstly here is a RAK I received almost a month back from one of my fellow crafters..... Priya Sivaraj!

Many of us know her & she is very popular for her DIAMOND CARD CREATION ON ICR.... And she made it as the Guest Designer on ICR for the same creation..... I wish her the very best in all her future endeavors too.....

So here is what she sent me..... It was a pleasure surprise for me..... Hard to express how I felt & still feel about it!

That is a beautiful creation & I loved all the accents I received with it...... Thank You Priya!

And this beautiful card came to me on Diwali from Lucy! And I was like :O.... Totally unexpected & stunning, all the way from GOA! Moved me to the core...... She is ONE QUIET CRAFTER.... All to herself with her passion for card making.... She has a unique style, very different from all of us..... She keeps it very low..... :D

And yes not to forget she was ONE of those few crafters who subscribed to this space & my works, when I made a start with blogging my creations {which were very amateurish}..... And I'm very thankful to her for her generosity.... God Bless her with loads of happiness, in her life...... :D

I keep wondering if I deserve the love & affection that I receive from you peeps..... But I promise myself to live up to it..... :D

Aah! That was some MOMENT! And Thank You both for gifting it to me..... :-*

Now to the Pending ATCs from the past......

Here is the first one..... Waiting to be posted since 4 months.....

Yes, They were the ATCs from the month of May! WOW!

And I received them from Vaishali Sabnani & Khushboo Rathi....... {Respectively}
May ATC was themed Birds & Animals..... And they totally justified their creations with such variations..... DO check out ALL the creations for the theme HERE!

And before I throw some light on these creations, I would like to let u know that ATC(India) has a new House! Yes it is being played on ICR with such gr8 zeal & enthu by our very own Rachana, who made ATCs possible for us, here in India.... I've been grateful to her for this thought & move......

These creations posted above were the ones I received from Jovita {Thank You so much for the Pie Lane Sticker u attached to it} & the other is from none other than our Rachana herself... :D for the month of OCT 2011..... I was delighted to see that miniature from our hostess!!!

Thank You both for making such delightful miniatures marking the celebrations of Diwali 2011!!!

MARCH ATC SWAPS!!!

Back again..... With the ATCs for March...... The theme for March was again awesome with the celebration of womanhood..... And for me it was really really special as it is my anniversary celebrations.... We completed 9 years of togetherness in a nuptial knot..... & loving it..... :)

So here goes the ATCS for March..... :)




Aah! As u can see, I did a lot of stamping & heat embossing on the card...... Added a scrap from an HDFC communication that was lying around... The woman on their cover... I had received my 'woman's sh! card' from them..... Sentiment on the inside is hand written...... It reads "Why do ya wanna fit in, when u were born to stand out" .....

Mostly I love all the yellow that commands attention..... Yellow is my favorite color... There is something to that color, that does not lemme get enough of it..... The more I see & use, the more I want it in my life..... :D



I like this too, a lot...... 'cuz of all the stamping & embossing again..... I love that gorgeous PTI floral stamp.... And all the colors I could think of stamping it in..... YUMMY!!!! I enjoyed the look thoroughly..... And the sentiment was a RAK from B..... which reads "Ah.... Life grows lovely where u are - Mathilde Blind"





Aah! I forgot to tell u...... All that stamping & embossing on the front, was done over a parchment paper or vellum..... whatever it is called..... & I simply loved what I did as it turned out well on it..... On the first one I just left the overlay open to reveal the inside when opened.... But on the other I adhered it on to the card..... I liked the two experiments which got me to be more confident with using that material on my creations..... :)


ATCs RECEIVED:



This is the Gorgeous ATC I received from Ashmita Das.... Truly feminine!!!! Loved the colors too... looks very mysterious..... Apt interpretation of a woman..... What Say????



And this beautiful creation is from Priya Venkat..... I love it loaded with layers all different from one another.... still confined to another blessing for a woman... her blah blah blahs!!!!! Be it to whoever she confides in, it gets her strong & stress free..... :D



And this was an extra card I received from Rachana for that one card from the Feb Swap, that missed its destination... And this card is from Shubhra... Very girlie with all the colors & flutter.... Thank u so so much sweeties.... :)

That clears all the backlogs as of now..... Will be back soon with some other infos.....

MY FEB ATC SWAPS!!!!

Hello! Have not been creating much..... Hence thought of clearing the ATC pile up...... SO this post goes with my Feb ATC swaps...

These were the ATCs I made for the February Swaps....... themed Valentine's Day!!!! Which was my favorite too as I was celebrating my 17 years of togetherness with Kuku..... And of the two ATCs I made for the month, my favorite was this.....





As I sat to work on this, thoughts just kept the flow, constant & I was happy the way it was turning out..... This ATC was not just one element but several on the card....

I added some blings & on the BG are all scraps...... Elements in the fore front are all digis..... I managed to create a scene by putting them all together, I picked over the net...... & was determined to use them somewhere when the time demanded its usage...... So they were..... :)

I could not thank the digi artists enough for those images & thank my coloring too which enhanced that creation of mine to be one of my favorites.....



This was a simple one as compared to the one above..... Just blings & scraps..... The hearts u can is the center part of an aluminum foil cup from the dominoes, I scooped out for my first mini album..... (will post that soon too)


ATC's I RECEIVED :

Unfortunately the postal dept. lost one of the ATCs that I had to receive in transit..... Waited another month for it to reach me, but still no trace of it..... Guess, I had to get a taste of their treatment too..... :(

But here is the only one I received.... It was from Rachana Patel....... :)

ATC BACKLOGS!!!!

Hello Everyone!!!! I am here to clear & post my ATC backlogs for three months..... Quite a time, I guess.... But somehow missed on posting them.... I am really sorry to all those creators of the lovely ATCs I have received for the months of Oct, Dec & Jan...... & so to myself as I did not take the time to acknowledge my own efforts either..... :(

But better late than never I guess..... So here they are......

Here is the first for the Month of OCT, which was fabric themed..... & I found it so difficult to come up with something... Still do not understand why... Simply managed to make this & send it across......

Below are ATCs I received for that month..... & it is only then I realized that indeed it was a tough one not just for me, but all.... I guess, that was the reason we had no one else participating for the month other than me & my hostess..... ;) WOW!!!! So these are Rachana's creations... I liked them as they were CAS (Clean And Simple) ...... Thanks deary.... If not for u I would have been left with my creations to myself.... :(

Well, we rested for the month of NOV, with all the festivities around..... & to continue, here are the ATCs for the month of DEC..... Theme was STAMPING!!! That is one favorite to all I guess.... Not bad I did quite a satisfying job with it..... though not my best..... ;)

The DEC ATCs I received were so yummy.... I loved both of them..... First is from Mansi, who did an awesome work on the mini card... Looked royally antique..... & the second is from Tejal, which is very very adorable with its close to nature feel.... Vibrant colors & the natural elements well executed made it really adorable.....

These are the ones made for the month of JAN..... Awesomely themed Anniversary as the space Crazy About ATCs celebrated their first Blog anniversary..... I felt sad that I was not able to justify their theme very well.... Sometimes my brain just switches itself OFF! & nothing seems to flash in there for me to go ahead & execute on paper.... Makes me feel bad & sad about myself, when I am not good at what I do, but I had to do something, as I could not miss on my commitments.... :( Well, tell u what! I won the blogiversary candy & just yesterday I received my stuffs from Itsy Bitsy who sponsored the candy.... But the best part of all this blogiversary thing was the mention of my participation in the SWAPS & my commitment..... It was very thoughtful of the hostesses to mention it, which made me feel proud about few principles that I carry in my life...... Thanks to ALL!!!!!!

Well, after all that blah! blah! blah!, coming back to what this post is about, here are the ATCs I received for the month..... Both were, way too GORGOEUS!!!! I know it is bad to compare, but we all know, when we screw things up..... ;) These ATCs were so full of life as compared to my creations for the month..... It made me feel that, the ones above were not at all created by me.... How could I????? The ones I received were from Rachana & Mansi.... Both amazingly adorable & unique too, in their approach.... Kudos to you peeps & it feels good to receive such amazing pieces of art......

You must be wondering about these 2 versions of the captures.... In particular I would like to mention Rachana's creation which seemed totally different as far as the BG color goes... As I shot them in the night light with flash, the deep color of choco brown totally vanished with the lines clearly visible..... But when I realized it, I shot another without flash & it looked its original..... Though I do not understand the technicalities involved with the flash light & its results, made me feel it was totally amusing...... :)

Well, that makes me releaved of the guilt that my ATCs were just accumulating without the required attention to them.... :)

Looking forward to our FAB ATCs.... Oops! FEB ATCs... but true.... The theme was very close to my heart & I tried giving it my best.... So I am all eager to see them being displayed at CRAZY ABOUT ATCS........... Do not forget to make your visit there to see all the awesome creations that we Indian crafters put together, every month..... WELL! It is all about WOMEN POWER for sure...... :D

ATCs & TAGGED TOFAs............

Heya! Few more backlogs clearance..... Aah! I really had a pile..... & eventually I did not like the way it looked.... So here was the perfect time... Time after break, just heading towards getting my Mojo back..... to work on projects & satisfy my yearning to create something nice with all the yumminess I have collected over time..... :)

So first I would like to share the TOFA that Kavitha from Kalalaya, shared with me, a month back..... & well it comes with a tag too... To list 3 things about myself that makes me different.....



And those would be...... Here @ my Foodie Blog..... which are totally seven..... (I hate to talk about myself, frequently....)

Well, my crafty counterparts who visit me here, can go ahead with just listing three.... as was originally tagged..... :) So anybody who has not been tagged with this TOFA, can go ahead, pick it up & flaunt on your space with the tag....

And now regarding the ATCs for the month of September..... It was an awesome ATC challenge that month, Kitty Kitty Kat Kat!!! which made us put together a kit of a similar ATC we made, for the recipient to make one too..... I loved it... & this was my take for that month..... :)

And this was the ATC I received for that month..... Both are amazingly beautiful!!!! I have not yet put their replica together.... ;)
