A Tea Bag Dispenser!

Hello....

Am just happy that I could revive my crafty blog which paves way to journal & share my creative side.... Am a chatter box who does not like to stop unless am down & low.... But tht depends definitely on the person who i talk to.... If it is someone my soul connects with then am so... if not, I keep it limited.... And I feel that is apt according to the current world..... :)

Well.... This post is not about me.... It's about something I recently created.... after lonnnnnnnngggggg... :P

A TEA BAG DISPENSER - I was very skeptical when the thought passed my mind... cuz it has been years since I plunged into serious crafting.... But once I set my foot in, I just waded in & it pleasingly kept me going, inspiring me at every step.....

SO here is my project....

However.... As I waded in the waters, I improvised it a lil to suit my liking...... And below are few clicks to the development of my project....

 

I loved making that sturdy base for my dispenser.... That pleases me with my project, just the way I had wished it to please me..... 😎

A perfect gift 🎁 for someone you love, this festive season, which is otherwise so monotonous, fearful & unhealthy.... It is an awesome piece to be owned for your healthy dips, by your dining table, niche or just your center/side table...

AsRa - A NAME PLATE For Self Of Self By Self!

Hello,

After long got into crafting & this time wished to work on something I never tried before.... After much thinking, a hard board that I picked from home & brought along struck my mind & I knew what I wanted to work on......

A NAME PLATE for self of self by self..... With loads of mix media around doing the run, I wanted to give it a try too... I have had tried lil tit bits in the past.... A Gift Tag & a Canvas for swap.... But they were the minimal I tried.... This time a lil bigger yet in a simple subtle tone.....

The thought of working on a Name Plate did scare me 'cuz it wasn't a Card which is my comfort zone nor a petty lil album or the sorts.... It was a Name Plate.... The very term is so big & for an amateur to take a dig is definitely challenging....

It wasn't my normal happy sad days either..... I was sulking & realized I cud not let it pass by just being in it & allowing self to sink; I had to channelize my mind into something else which can help me overcome & make the days shorter for me....

So yes I had to let myself at the least attempt one; I cud fail not meeting my own expectations, but I wud be happy I did something to begin with.....

First Pocket Letter Page Ever 4 my Mom!!!

This month is one of the most creative so far as it is so being announced on ICR... I meant the monthly challenge/CoasteRide is something one would not wanna miss on if you are a paper crafter & You Love MOM... :D

I MEAN IT WHEN I SAY IT... :)

Here is what I created for the CoasteRide Fun with ICRCSUM01 by Shraddha....



Am sure after that peek into the creation you might have guessed the CoasteRide put forth on ICR for YOU CRAZY PASSIONATE CRAFTERS.... :D

A sneak peek to the preparation of this project is shared in here... Not exactly a tutorial from A TO Z... Nevertheless it gives you an exact picture of the very process to this Project... Am sure you would take your cues from it to whatever extent possible & make one for your mom this May; TouchWood!!!

 We were definitely supposed to pocket these letters which was awesome for a safe & secure storage...

 Unfortunately the vellum did not support me here 'cuz its short of transparency... Hence I had to conclude the project adhering it above the vellum sheet.... So to keep it clear...

And as a better option to keep the PL Page living for as long as it could without the safety sleeve, was to get it framed...


And now it adorns a wall at moms place... Am so happy about everything related to this amazing project I caught an opportunity to attempt & adorn....

ICRSC - WATERFALL FOLIO (April 2016 Swop)

Hello,

ICR saw its first swop happen after all these years of being paused... In the captaincy of Gopi Shah, ICR Swop Circle (ICRSC) is up & running with its April 2016 swop... Season 2 is one of its kind....

Subjecting to Projects it got us participants try something which we wud not have had otherwise in d near future.... WATERFALL FOLIO!!!

Here is what I made for the swop....





Chipboard from Itsy Bitsy...
DPs were a rack from Banu from way past.... when i had just started.... & am thankfully using them till date... :D
Doily from stash... halved... 
Stamped it with a round & round inkadinkadoo stamp with black versa color...
Brad from stash for an easy locking system... to be hooked by a tag from stash being upcycled here... 
Beneath is a small chip board tag which was a part of a hmmmm... I guess Wrangler Jeans purchased by hubby.... {I love when I use up what I have accumulated from around... }<3 :="" me="" span="">
Die cut the base for sentiment....
Sentiment printed out on to the Die Cut CS.... {The words being just my thought.... Again SO IN LOVE WID SELF}<3 :="" me="" span="">
Used a piece of chipboard to score & crease for an additional tag adhered to the cover of the folio... 
Stamped it with I guess tim holtz stamps... & to hold it down used an animal paper clip of that of a rabbit..... 
Inserted the eyelet & twined in a burlap twine with few hangings from stash... A charm picked from Itsy Bitsy along with a can pull up I ripped off a fanta can.... {Upcycling is so much fun at peace.... Love to ME}<3 :="" b="" me="">





For the inside used up the DPs from RAK....
& CS in white from Fabriano...
And for the Tags.... AGAIN UPCYCLED few garment tags I piled up to stash out.... {So love it when I use up my waste stash}<3 me:="" span="">
That includes few thin CS tags & A cloth tag too which has Lee or Wrangler printed on it... However I labeled a burlap tag on it to cover it smoothly.... {So in Love With ME}<3 :="" br="" ing="" me="">
AND it has the base of a pack of flowers from Prima Rose which I had stashed out & finally got a perfect chance to use it up... I so loved the base with its grungy frames & designed edges..... {OF COURSE Love To Me}<3 :d="" me:="" span="">

Yup I definitely LOVE MYSELF when I appreciate self with my mind acting smart creatively.... :P

And FINALLY as the swop progressed towards its end.... With participants sending out their heartily skilled projects to their respective partners.... And I received mine from My dear Teammate.... Sharada Dilip Acharya.... I textly call her as "SDA" to avoid confusions & save time.... ;)



Isn't that beautiful.... I was so worried 'cuz swops see U receiving some really sad projects in return to your all loved & hard worked craft Projects..... But this was a relief of a fearful sulk I was anticipating.... :P

 

I so loved the beautiful tags.... M gonna use it up for my niece... My only kid for life... <3 span="">



AND not to forget she even sent me few pieces of lovely beautiful adorable DPs.... Its always a pleasure to receive something you do not have..... :) Am just thankful for this kind gesture Sharada.... Loads of Love & (((Hugs)))

RE-PURPOSED TIN for a B'day!

 Heya!

Yup back to blog the other part of the B'day Project!

Had this tin around & thot of tucking in those gift tags into a DONE tin :)

So got down to the much time taking project; but since I had no time & had to complete in a couple of hours, I had to hurry thru it half way thru;

When I started with it, had many other plans to build on; But gave up & simply wound up the project within 2 hrs.....

So this is the start.....

And this is what it looked like later.....

Again inspired by the colors from ColorQ Chall #217....



 

Empty Tin from stash;
DPs from stash;
Memory Box Dies for the metal gates used for fencing; Bicycle Die & Wreath Die too;
Nestabilities Circle Die; 
SU! Bird punch;
Spellbinders labels & tags die & nestabilities oval die;
Washi Tape for the rim was a RAK frm Banu;
Silver snowflake from stash & so r the rhinestones;



Oh! My back is hurting..... Have to get some good rest as I am traveling tomorrow again..... :(

I really hope she likes it.... Well, tht was my second attempt at #TinDecor!
